Our artisan Elizabeth creates kimono designs in her NYC studio, inspired by watercolor paintings. She then sends her design off to her master artisans in India, who transfers it into wearable art. These rich brown, flowy, sheer chiffon pieces feature abstract patterns with subtle metallic accents and embellished with antique-finished beads. Handcrafted exclusively for Uno Alla Volta, from the hearts and hands of artisans. Hand wash. One size fits most. Approx. 36'' x 40''.

Meet The Artisan - Elizabeth

Trained as a painter and printmaker, Elizabeth designed her first scarf after being unable to find a replacement for a lost favorite. Today, eighteen years later, the sights and sounds of New York City inspire her colorful creations. After designing each scarf and kimono in her New York City loft, she collaborates with master artisans in Delhi, India, who create each one from high quality fabrics, one at a time.

Lovely topper

I purchased this topper in horizon (rust) and dark forest (black and brown). It is sheer, generously sized (I am plus sized) and lovely. I look forward to wearing both of these in dressy situations with slacks and in casual situations with jeans.
