In her New York Hudson River Valley workshop, Carole takes inspiration from the styles of the 20's to design this chic two-toned cloche, handcrafted of burgundy and black 100% wool felt. Each hat is finished with a hand-trimmed velvet band and an iridescent gold brooch. Handcrafted exclusively for Uno Alla Volta, from the heart and hands of the artisan. Dimensions - Approximately 22.5 inch inner circumference.

Meet The Artisan - Carole

In her quaint workshop, tucked in between the winding village streets in New York’s Hudson River Valley, Carole, our milliner, designs each of our show-stopping hats. Following her creative combinations of shape, color, and texture, her team of highly skilled, specialized artisans handcraft each hat, uno alla volta. First, each base is formed on a heated mold, trimmed, and hemmed, before cooling and it is sent off to the decorating team for a final touch of old-world, artisanal magic.

Valerie two toned cloche

Out of all the seven hats I have from Carole of NY, this cloche is my favorite! It won't blow off in the very windy winters we have in Cape May, NJ. Thank you for another gorgeous addition to my wardrobe!

I love this hat!!! Lots of comments and compliments! Beauty you can wear. I wear this hat all winter. I love the brim as it blocks out lights that give me migraines. I wear it to my craft shows. Ladies unite! Wear more hats!!

Most Beautiful Hat!

I saw some reviews that people were complaining about the style of the hat and not being able to see with the brim. That is the Beauty of this Cloche-Style Hat! Don't bastardize this gorgeous work of art by pinning it up. This hat is PERFECT just as it is. It's my favorite of all the hats I have. One question, Carole, I just ordered your new hat The Genevieve(?) and am so excited to get it. Why do you use Italian wool? What makes it different than any other types of wool? Very curious about this answer.Thank you for bringing Herrods to the USA via your skills in hat making. You are phenomenal in your skill and styles. I swore to my partner that I will Not think of my new purchase, his Christmas gift to me...I will think of it Every Day until Christmas, but am trying to block my excitement.
