Our artisans in a seaside village in Nova Scotia begin each whimsical piece as a sketch which is then sculpted in clay. The sculpture is used to make a mold from which each item is cast in lead-free pewter, before being finished and polished entirely by hand.
I always say to my wife, Good morning Sunshine. So when I saw this, I had to get it. She loves it!!! She smiles every time she looks at it. It is heavy, but made well.

The pewter box is beautiful as is, but then there's the little sun necklace inside! I bought this for my cousin, who truly is my sunshine. I can't wait to give it to her. It's lovely!
