Our artisans in a seaside village in Nova Scotia begin each whimsical piece as a sketch which is then sculpted in clay. The sculpture is used to make a mold from which each item is cast in lead-free pewter, before being finished and polished entirely by hand.
I ordered this as a Christmas gift for a friend of mine. I wanted to get her a little something but couldn't afford to spend a lot of money. It arrived recently and is beautiful. I think (hope) my friend loves it as much as I do. One less gift to worry about - thank you !
