Our artisans in a seaside village in Nova Scotia begin each whimsical piece as a sketch which is then sculpted in clay. The sculpture is used to make a mold from which each item is cast in lead-free pewter, before being finished and polished entirely by hand.
The little pewter dish was very cute. I paid $7.00 for gift wrapping. It came in a blue box with a little pewter heart on it, which you can't detach. No wrapping paper, no bow. If I hadn't ordered gift wrap they said it would come in a black box, maybe like the one in their advertising.
