Our artisans in a seaside village in Nova Scotia begin each whimsical piece as a sketch which is then sculpted in clay. The sculpture is used to make a mold from which each item is cast in lead-free pewter, before being finished and polished entirely by hand.
This little box was a special Christmas gift for my precious autistic granddaughter. At age 12, with her life changing rapidly, she needed to know she was loved. The smile on her face says it all.

I used to sing You are my Sunshine to/with my granddaughter while taking her to school. It was special, & I wanted to give her the necklace as a remembrance long after I'm gone. She loved it!

I always say to my wife, Good morning Sunshine. So when I saw this, I had to get it. She loves it!!! She smiles every time she looks at it. It is heavy, but made well.
