One of the very first artisans to join the Uno Alla Volta family back at our inception in 2002, Giulio keeps the lampworking traditions of Venice alive. He was taught these ancient artisanal skills by his nonna, or grandmother, and sometimes creates pieces with beads she handcrafted decades ago, celebrating her life and legacy in all he does.
My wife was very pleased. The necklace exceeded her expectation for the product.

yellow torsade necklace
Looked forward to the necklace, and when it went on sale for a few days I snapped it up. It is very pretty, but not the vibrant, rich yellow that is shown in the print catalog or online. It is a paler, lemony yellow that would probably look fabulous on a woman of color, a redhead, or a blonde (blondes should wear more yellow!). But it just didn't work for a fair-skinned brunette like me.

Stunningly beautiful!
This necklace is much more than I expected. It is stunningly beautiful. I wear mine with a cobalt blue sweater. If you are on the fence about this one--I urge you to take the leap. You won't be disappointed.

Fresh and unusual
Even though the yellow beads are more lemony than on the web picture, the necklace is so fresh and uplifting, spring-like. Like buying a big bunch of daffodils in October. Craftsmanship is superb, and I am now looking for more work by this artist/company.
