Aventurine glass became popular in the 18th century when Venetian glass workers, preparing molten glass, accidentally dropped copper filings into the batch. This produced an entirely new style of glass infused with sparkles. Today, artisans on Venice's famed isle of Murano still use this technique to handcraft this bold Venetian aventurine earrings. 1.75'' long, gold-plated wires.

Lorena

On Venice’s famed isle of Murano, glassworking traditions have been passed down through families, generation after generation. Lorena learned the art of lampworking from her grandmother, as the torch was, quite literally, passed down to her. Today, her business remains a family affair as Lorena’s sons, her sister, and even her mother work right by her side.
