Wisconsin artisan, Michael handcrafts each ''You're Off To Great Places!'' wall plaque, uno alla volta. After art school, his childhood dream of being a painter evolved into a passion for pottery. To create this piece, he works side by side with his sons and son-in-law, etching the design into clay and then firing it twice to nearly 2000 degrees Fahrenheit. This delightful wall plaque is the perfect piece to bring positivity to any room. Each wall plaque measures 8.5 inches by 3.5 inches and comes with a cord for hanging. No two will be exactly alike. Handcrafted for Uno Alla Volta, from the heart and hands of the artisan.

Michael began his artistic career as a painter before he discovered his true passion for pottery. After touring the country selling his work at art shows he developed his signature style: an innovative engraving technique that etches his decorative designs into the surface of his pieces. Today, he works alongside his sons and son-in-law, creating beautiful ceramics in their northern Wisconsin studio.
