In his Northern Wisconsin studio, Michael works alongside his sons and son-in-law to handcraft fun, whimsical ceramic wall art. To create each one, he etches the design into clay and fires it twice to nearly 2000°F. Cord for hanging. No two are exactly alike. After touring the country selling his work at art shows he developed his signature style: an innovative engraving technique that etches his decorative designs into the surface of his pieces.
