Barbara's fine filigree work is painstakingly hand shaped from delicate sterling silver wire using tweezers, then thickly plated with pure gold, creating 24k gold vermeil. After firing at 1700oF, she applies powdered enamels in different colors and a second firing at 1500oF turns the powder into high-gloss glass. Finally, dazzling Swiss blue topaz stones are hand set to complete these magnificent pieces.
