PRODUCT STORY
Perhaps the most famous of French pocketknife shapes, the Laguiole was the knife given by Napoleon to his loyal foot soldiers when they finished their tour of duty. Recognizable by its graceful blade, slightly curved handle, and often, Napoleon's bee at the spring. Today, Les Couteliers De Thiers bring fresh designs to this classic. All blades are hand-forged of Sandvik 12C27 high-carbon stainless steel. This rainbow marquetry Laguiole pocketknife features a handle comprised of ebony, wengewood, lignum vita, snakewood, violet rosewood, purpleheart, tulipwood, plum, apple, juniper and lemonwood. Decorated back spring, soldered bee and satin-polished stainless steel bolsters and plates. 4 3/4" long with 3 1/2" long blade.
