Working from her studio located on the Connecticut shoreline, Lucille, our silk artist uses the antique art form of marbling, which dates back to twelfth century Europe. Marbling is accomplished by floating drops of specialized pigments on a surface of thickened water, then running a comb-like tool through the ink to create a dramatic pattern. A treated scarf of 100% silk is placed on the surface until the design is absorbed. No two lavender marbled scarves are ever alike. A matching silk-covered clip and scarf tying instructions are included with each lavender marbled scarf. Hand wash. Approx. 11" x 58".
conversation piece funny how good things can happen from the little things. Take this scarf for example: When my friend wore it in her hair and with those high end sunglasses she loves it gave her street credibility and that splash of color when the sunlight stakes the material was truly lovely. We even got invited back on the cruse because of her style and grace the Captain said.
