This stunning opalescent shell bowl is carefully handcrafted by artisans in the Pecatu District of Indonesia. When masterfully creating this shell bowl, the artisans use great precision as they meticulously arrange tiny pieces of iridescent shells which are then encapsulated and preserved forever. Each is made, uno alla volta, from the hearts and hands of artisans. No two bowls will be exactly alike due to the nature of the work. Each measures approximately 12 inches by 8 inches by 5 inches.
Indonesian Abalone Bowl I was very pleased with the bowl's appearance, sturdiness and overall color of the
shells. It was purchased for my sister's 60th birthday. The shells used appear to abalone; however, I don't see any description or name of the shells used. If a video were available that would be fantastic. It appears that the shells are covered by some sort of acrylic material. If there is more information you can give to me, I would very much like to receive it. I am considering purchasing a 2nd bowl. Thank you for such a unique product.
