As much as a needle, a quality pair of scissors is a necessity in any sewing basket. In keeping with the ancient monte au noir scissor-making tradition, these scissors are handcrafted under the watchful eyes of master craftsmen in Nogent, France, the historical scissor capital of Europe. These heavy sewing scissors are made from carbon steel forgings and polished and sharpened to perfection. Blades are plated with chrome, the handles with pure gold. Finely crafted edge cuts straight lines making them ideal for quilting and cutting through heavier or multiple layers of fabric. Approx. 6.5" overall. Just one snip and you'll never accept a lesser quality. Comes with a leather pouch to protect tips.
Exquisite If you are a seamstress, you will treasure these scissors. The blades are only three inches long; so they are not tailor's scissors. But they fit so well in my hand and cut thick fabric so smoothly, that it really isn't a big thing. And the leather pouch looks like it will last a lifetime - well made and well sewn. If I had more money, I would buy the other regular sewing scissors just for the pleasure of owning them, but that would be silly; these are perfect!
