PRODUCT STORY
A Masterpiece of Russian Wood Carving According to legend, Grandfather Frost, or Russian Santa, arrives from the North Pole on a polar bear. Today, not far from Moscow, our master wood artisans create this elaborately carved, highly collectible sculpture as a tribute to this charming image. Each begins with wood carefully selected by the artisan. The wood, traditionally from the native linden tree, is then dried for at least two years. After the figure is meticulously carved by hand, both the front and back are hand painted down to the smallest detail. Each sculpture is unique, distinctive, and reflects the artisan's individual style and talent - no two are ever alike. 13" x 12".
