Each brute de forge Laguiole pocket knife is individually hot-drop forged from Sandvik 12C27 high-carbon stainless steel, hardened, then heated a second time and hand hammered to create the richly textured appearance. Only the area closest to the cutting edge is brightly polished. Finished with handle of exotic desert ironwood in Thiers, France's cutlery capital since the Middle Ages. The bee on the spine is forged and polished, and no two will ever be exactly alike. Knife measures 8.5" open, blade is 3.75" long.
