Born in one of Rio's most dangerous slums, Nilson dropped out of school at age 15 to help support his family. Since we first introduced his jewelry in 2011, our customers' enthusiasm for his distinctive designs has enabled him to develop new new pieces inspired by gemstones and flowers of his native Brazil, and to provide rewarding employment for other talented artisans.
