Painted Copperwork Vase
Availability: Almost gone!
Our Mexican artisans work side by side, transforming ingots of copper into spectacular art. To make each dimensional vase, they begin with roughly 56 ounces of copper, which they hammer flat. They then use a repousse technique, hand hammering the metal into a quilted pattern. After hand shaping the copper into a vase, they hand paint the delicate floral composition and accent it with enamels and gold leaf. No two exactly alike. Approx. 10 in. tall x 6 in. dia.
